FastCalXP Operation Manual
XP2/Model 30 Serial Port
The XP2/Model 30 serial port speci es which port FastCalXP will look at to  nd the Crystal reference. Typically, this is set to Auto’, and FastCalXP will automati-
cally detect the serial port to which the gauge is connected. Change to the speci c serial port if your con guration requires it.
HART Modem Serial Port
The
HART modem serial port
speci es which port FastCalXP uses to connect to the HART Modem while calibrating transmitters. Choose the serial port to which
your HART Modem is connected.
Language
The Language selection will list all available languages for FastCalXP that have been installed. Language packs are available through your local distributor as
well as online at http://www.crystalengineering.net. After changing the language, you will need to restart FastCalXP before the change will take a ect.
Use Custom Audio Alert
The Use custom audio alert checkbox allows you to change the sound that is played when FastCalXP automatically advances to the next pressure point during
calibration.
Certi cate Settings
Certi cate Settings de ne the ways certi cates are generated and saved.
Default Certi cate Template
The Default certi cate template is the calibration certi cate template that will be used, by default, for creating certi cates. This can be overridden by check-
ing Use custom certi ca
te template in the model con guration. Refer to the Creating Certi cates section for a discussion on creating and editing certi cate
templates. Refer to Models in the Managing the Database section for information on selecting alternate templates.
Default Excel Version
Specify an Excel Version that will be used as a default for all newly created certi cates. The default setting is .xls  les in Excel 97-2003 format.
